I am an Instructor at the Department of Linguistics of the University of the Philippines Diliman, where I teach Linguistics (Lingg) and Japanese language (Hapon) courses. My research interests include language documentation, morphosyntax, experimental linguistics, and the Japanese language.

Languages that I have worked on include:

  • Tagalog (tgl)
  • Bugkalot/Eg̓ongot (ilk)
  • Pangasinan (pag)
  • Keley-i (ify)
  • Cuyonon (cyo)

I have also been part of collaborative language documentation projects with the Bugkalot/Eg̓ongot (ilk), Kalanguya (kak), and Dumagat/Remontado (agv) communities.

Currently, I am in Urawa, Japan as a participant in the Japan Foundation’s 6-month Basic Training Program for Teachers of the Japanese Language. I am also currently working on my MA Lingg thesis, “Verb Subcategorization in Bugkalot/Eg̓ongot.”

Outside linguistics, I also do graphic design, translation, and video editing.
